Navigating Trustee Issues in chapter 7 and 13

This panel will explore some of the legal issues, dynamics, and conflicts faced by Chapter 7 and 13 Trustees and the possible effects on Debtors and Debtors' counsel. Topics will include a discussion of Chapter 7 trustees administering and augmenting small/no asset consumer cases, including trustee compensation, trustee duties, and the hiring of professionals, as well as conduit payments in Chapter 13. This panel will also introduce a newly launched empirical study on these issues and seek participant views and experiences.
